Clean Label

The “clean label” trend is based on the wish of those living in developed and emerging markets to eat healthier and more responsibly. There is no legal definition for the term “clean label”. This is often applied or understood to mean the manufacturing of products without the use of E numbers. The “clean label” trend began a market development that has given rise to many other trends and is constantly evolving.

Clean Label

Natural, renewable raw materials, primarily potatoes and peas, form the basis of all the products from the Emsland Group. Our product developers recognized the Clean Label trend early on and found the right solution with the creation of the Empure® range (which does not contain any E numbers).

The development of Empure® Clean Label products fits perfectly with the rapidly growing demand for clean label alternatives for the food industry. In the new Clean Label era, the Emsland Group has a wide range of product solutions, whether it be in the area of starches, waxy starches, fibers or potato flakes; this way, we ensure a truly Clean Label.
