Prime Minister of Lower Saxony Olaf Lies Visits Emsland Group in Emlichheim

Emlichheim, July 2, 2026 – Today, we were pleased to welcome Lower Saxony’s Prime Minister Olaf Lies to our Emlichheim site as part of his 2026 summer tour. His visit focused on innovation, regional value creation, and the future competitiveness of Lower Saxony’s economy.

During the site tour, the Prime Minister, together with Members of the Lower Saxony State Parliament Andrea Kötter and Reinhold Hilbers, gained insights into our production processes and the transformation of potatoes and peas into high-quality starch, protein, and fiber products. Discussions centered on sustainable food ingredients, modern production technologies, our close collaboration with the agricultural sector, and the importance of a strong industrial base in rural areas.

As an internationally operating company with deep roots in the region, we greatly appreciate the interest shown in our work. The visit provided an opportunity to discuss current challenges and opportunities while highlighting the contribution Emsland Group makes to innovation, value creation, and employment in Lower Saxony.
