Setting a New Standard for Vegan & Vegetarian Jellies & GumsA starch-based innovation with gelatin-like performance

Emjel® LC 15 is a next-generation functional starch that allows manufacturers to produce vegan and vegetarian jellies and gums with the smooth, elastic texture and clear appearance traditionally associated with gelatin — all under atmospheric cooking conditions. Unlike conventional starch systems that require high temperatures and complex processing, Emjel® LC 15 simplifies production, protects sensitive ingredients, and improves thermostability, maintaining product structure even at elevated temperatures.

This fully plant-based solution opens doors to vegan, halal, and kosher markets, reduces energy consumption, and delivers the technical advantages of gelatin while meeting modern consumer and production demands.
