A NEW CHAPTER IN LIFE – STARTING AN APPRENTICESHIP AT THE EMSLAND GROUP
For many young people, August 1 or September 1 was a very special day: with excitement, anticipation, and perhaps a little nervousness, they began their apprenticeships at the Emsland Group. Whether in technology, administration, skilled trades, research, or IT – the first steps into working life are truly unique. All the better that this moment with us doesn’t consist only of paperwork and introductions, but also leaves room for encounters, community, and shared experiences.
This year, we are welcoming numerous new apprentices at our various locations. In Emlichheim alone, 19 young colleagues are starting in the areas of technology, administration, skilled trades, research, and IT. Together with apprentices from higher years, they kicked things off with an eventful day of dragon boat racing in Nordhorn, followed by a shared meal at Pier99 – a successful start that strengthened team spirit and togetherness.

Our other sites also accompanied the start of training with varied activities. In Kyritz, for example, the new apprentices spent active hours paddling on the Untersee after a get-to-know workshop, while in Hagenow a visit to the “Baltic Rocks” climbing park brought fun and excitement. In Wittingen, Golßen, and Wietzendorf, the first day focused more on introductions, plant tours, and organizational matters, while in Cloppenburg three more young talents embarked on their apprenticeships.

All new apprentices share one thing in common: they are now part of the Emsland Group. We are convinced that with their drive and curiosity, they will contribute valuable ideas – and at the same time benefit from the experience of our long-standing employees.
A highlight already awaits our young talents on October 14–16: all apprentices from the different locations will come together in Emlichheim for the apprentice meeting. There, they will not only explore the main plant but also strengthen connections across locations through various activities.
We wish all new apprentices a successful start, exciting insights into the world of work, and above all, joy in their training at the Emsland Group!
