At The Emsland Group, We Value Experience and New Talent Alike
Two recent events at our headquarters in Emlichheim showed something that’s very important to us at Emsland Group: we appreciate both the people who helped build our company and those who may shape its future.
RETIREES’ REUNION: A SPECIAL TRADITION
Every two years, we invite our former employees back for a Retirees’ Reunion – and this year’s event was another great success. Around 150 retired colleagues joined us to reconnect and catch up.

After a warm welcome by our Managing Director Gerrit-Jan Wesselink and a short update on how the company is doing today, everyone enjoyed coffee and cake together. There was plenty of time to talk, laugh, and share memories. Those who were interested also took part in a guided tour of the site. The day ended with a relaxed dinner buffet and more good conversations.
It was great to see so many familiar faces again – we’re already looking forward to the next reunion!
DAY OF APPRENTICESHIPS: DISCOVERING FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES
In the same week we opened our doors again – this time for young visitors. About 25 students (some with their parents) came to learn about the different training and career opportunities at Emsland Group.

At various hands-on stations, they could try things for themselves: building mobile phone stands, stacking pallets, doing lab experiments, or even making their own extension cords. A small rally with quiz questions added some extra fun, and everyone who took part had a chance to win a prize.
The day finished with a tasty pizza buffet and a tour of the company for those who wanted to see more.
Thanks to everyone who joined us! We hope the event gave you some helpful insights – and maybe we’ll welcome some of you back as apprentices soon.
