gips

Specially-modified potato and pea starch with specific characteristics can be used for an extensive range of applications. The Emsland Group’s newly constructed 750 m² roller drying plant with autoclave, named WalTrAut, is specially-designed to meet the high demands of modified starch for technical use in gypsum-based formulations.

Using the latest technology, our plant-based products are physically and chemically modified in pressure reactors and drum dried to create functional starch ethers that have unique qualities for specific gypsum plaster (machine plaster) applications. In combination with cellulose derivatives, our ingredients can, for example, help to create synergistic effects such as improving workability and stability of sprayed plaster.

State-of-the-art equipment in a one-of-a-kind building, combined with our expertise and close collaboration with the industry, help to ensure we meet the growing demands of our customers. Contact us to learn more about our Emset® product range for gypsum based formulations.
