The market for food innovations is growing strongly and therefore one of the most dynamic and interesting markets in the world. Increasing population numbers in the developing countries and changing habits in the industrial countries have increased the demand for innovative products and solutions in the foodstuffs industry. The Emsland Group is not just going along with this trend, but shaping it as well. An ever greater focus on the production of nutritional supplements has been implemented in recent years. In order to continue this expansion, extensive work has already been done on erecting two centers of innovation. One of these will be built at the main plant in Emlichheim, and a second is currently being expanded in the million-strong metropolis of Bangkok.


In addition to development within the Emsland Group, the external presentation will not be neglected, for which the most important trade fair in the food ingredients industry offers a great opportunity. The Emsland Group will be represented at this year’s Food Ingredients in Europe as well as in Asia.


The first is Food Ingredients Asia, running from September 11 to 13 in Bangkok. The ever-growing interest in the Asian market for high-quality food ingredients has led to great growth for the trade show. Hundreds of exhibitors from all over the world will present new, innovative products there. Of course, the Emsland Group will be among them as Germany’s largest potato starch producer. This year’s focus is the Clean Label product line Empure®, the new waxy winter barley flour from the Emglucan® line, and the innovative refining product Embalance® that is based on dehydrated potatoes. In addition, various potato flakes (including the Clean Label variety) and potato granulates will be presented. These product highlights can be seen at Booth C29.


The world’s most important event in the industry, Food Ingredients Europe, takes place this year in Frankfurt. From November 19 to 21, 2013, about 26,000 visitors from 154 countries will get a glimpse into the future of the foodstuffs industry. As an exhibitor, the Emsland Group has secured one of the top spots. A professional team of application specialists, agents, sales managers, and executive management will provide expert advice to the many visitors.


Along with potato hydrates, starch products, and finished products, the stabilized Clean Label starches, 3D Snacks, and various Embalance® types will be presented. An additional highlight is the process and similar cheese varieties from the Emcheese®-Mor line.


At the open trade show booth E21 in hall 8, many special features like a Meet & Eat point, television and PowerPoint presentations, and a touch screen will draw the interest of visitors.
